This weekend, January 12-14, 2007, some 3000 activists -- including a number of Chicagoans and CMA members -- will be attending the 2007 National Conference for Media Reform, to take place in Memphis.
CMA will be participating as well, with a workshop on challenging broadcast licenses, on Saturday, January 13, at 2:30pm to 4pm. If you're participating in the conference, we invite you to attend.
There are a host of ancilliary activities. There is a media-themed protest slated for the Memphis Federal Building, just down the block from the Memphis Cook Convention Center which will play host to the conference.
Recall that there was a film about the 2005 conference in St. Louis, depicting outside actions which took place and which you can see in Quicktime or Windows Media Player.
