(1) KAMP -- a six-watt radio station broadcasting outside the Houston Astrodome and providing news and information for Katrina victims is now on the air. But it would have been on a week earlier if a Harris county official hadn't been dicking around.

(2) Our friends at the Electronic Frontier Foundation have posted an alert about RIAA-related attempts to hobble forthcoming generations of digital radios because, gosh darnit, that gives people too much control over their radios and the content they can choose, and that's, like, bad.
