Discussion on the Get Illinois Online mailing list has been positive for the first of three hearings so far confirmed on the issue of a possible city-wide wireless internet network. Word is that CAN TV will be broadcasting coverage of the hearing held last night at Truman College. But if you missed yesterday's hearing and would like to chime in on the issue, the second of three hearing dates has been announced:
Thursday, July 28th at 6:30pm
Malcolm X College Westside Learning Center
4624 W Madison, Room 105
A third meeting on the south side is being planned: Date and time have yet to be announced. There's also talk of a fourth hearing in city hall. Stay tuned, folks.
