Our oh-so-cool friends at the Prometheus Radio Project have passed word that the FCC has opened a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking on the issue of Low Power FM. This is an excellent opportunity to comment on Low Power radio broadcasting since its formal authorization by the FCC five years ago. Prometheus has even set up a handy-dandy webform to use.
In other radio-related news, there's also this blog post discussing the potentially heady prospects of software-defined radio. Could this be another monkey wrench in the corporate-planned domination of the digital spectrum? Could be.
