*** "Information Clearinghouse" surely qualifies as one of the best news and information links around. No fooling. It rivals and in some ways surpasses "Common Dreams". Regularly updated articles, oodles of progressive news links and blog links, and, best of all, FREE DOCUMENTARY DOWNLOADS!!! "Hijacking Catastrophe: 9/11, Fear, and the Selling of American Empire", "Control Room", "Israel's Secret Weapon", more. Fairly new full-length independent films (and some short and medium length films too). HIGHLY RECCOMMENDED. Free daily email news bulletin, free rss feed available. You might want to send this site a donation if you don't want it to disappear.
*** A good complement to "Information Clearinghouse" is the HUMONGOUS "Internet Archive" at at
http://www.archive.org/
Lots of good, absolutely FREE OPEN SOURCE film and other stuff if you look around. ALL FREE. (Check out the open source short "Scar Strangled Banter". I especially like the old animation clip with the word "LIES" emanating repeatedly from a broadcast tower.)
Happy (or not so happy) viewing!
