Dear DN! Supporters and Independent Media Activists-

First, I want to thank you for your support of Democracy Now! and all your past efforts to bring Democracy Now! to stations in Chicago and the surrounding area.

I just wanted to let you know about a pivotal moment in WBEZ history that is occurring. WBEZ 91.5 FM in Chicago has announced that starting in early 2007 it will only air public affairs and culture programming, and no longer air music.

WBEZ is asking for input from its listeners about what programs they should add to their schedule. Click here for an announcement about this change:

If you would like to hear Democracy Now! on WBEZ, please e-mail Listenerservices@ChicagoPublicRadio.org and let them know!

You can also register to join the WBEZ listener forum at:

http://www.chicagopublicradio.org/forum/default.asp

and post a comment that you would like to hear Democracy Now! on WBEZ.

If there is any other way I can assist you all to help bring Democracy Now! to your community, please let me know. In addition, please feel free to upate me on any of your organizing efforts. Thank you for your support of independent media.

Keep in touch!

Best,

Nikki Smirl
Outreach Organizer
