On March 14, 2005, Chicago Media Action organized a flyer-handout-cum-protest outside the Fox Chicago affiliate offices on Michigan Avenue in downtown Chicago. CMA-related participants were outnumbered by Fox security and Chicago police who were standing watch at the door.

The protest was one of a series of actions building up to the protests of March 19, 2005 -- the two-year anniversary of the escalation of the war in Iraq. An interesting irony: Of all of the corporate outlets which covered the March 19 peace events in Chicago, Fox Chicago provided arguably the best English-language corporate coverage of the events. One would hope that our actions last week helped in that regard.
