Raise awareness with a series of festive politics-and-media themed Christmas Carols. The Singalong will be held on Friday, December 7, from 5pm to 6:30pm outside the Tribune Tower in downtown Chicago (435 N. Michigan Avenue). Chicago Media Action has learned from the current resident of the 850 frequency, WAIT-FM, that WAIT's format and future programming plans have yet to be decided. Newsweb Corp. owns WCPT-AM and WAIT-AM. The grant also grants Tribune a cross-ownership duopoly in Chicago indefinitely. Strong national legislation and FCC action can remedy much of this devastation in the long term.
