DO YOU WANT THE BROADCASTERS TO CONTROL THURSDAY'S CHICAGO FCC HEARING? Our goal is to fill the first hour of testimony with people speaking up against media consolidation and telling their stories about how the media is serving Chicago. This first hour is when all the press will be there and will set the tone for the hearing – if the broadcasters beat us there it is a big loss. We want a diverse range of voices in this first hour and have identified a few great speakers but not everyone can arrive early to sit in line. If we do not have enough volunteers to hold places in line for speakers, we will forfeit control of the hearing to the broadcasters. FREE FOOD WILL BE PROVIDED TO ALL VOLUNTEERS. Contact us at 773-641-2151 or 847-679-8032 for details and to RSVP as a line place holder. * Hearing information: Date: Thursday, September 20th Time: 4:00pm-11:00pm Sign-ups begin at 3pm - but we expect a big crowd so arrive early to make your voice heard.
