Chicago Media Action presents a panel discussion entitled: "Coverage of the Inner City 
and the Urban Poor: The Media and Urban Issues".

This discussion will be held on Wednesday, October 4, 2006, from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m., 
at the Chicago Temple (located at 77 West Washington St.; Across the street from Daley Plaza), 
downtown Chicago. 

Scheduled panelists include:

* La'Keisha Gray of the National Hip Hop Political Convention

* Paul Street, former head of research for the Chicago Urban League and author of "Segregated 
Schools: Educational Apartheid in Post-Civil Rights America"

* Steve Macek, author of "Urban Nightmares: The Media, the Right and the Moral Panic over the City"

* and Beauty Turner, Assistant Editor of Resident's Journal.

Cliff Kelley, WVON talk show host, will moderate.
