The ordinance for funding CAN TV will come to a City Council vote on 
Wednesday, September 29.  We encourage you to come and show your support.

The City Council meets on Wednesday, September 29, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at 
City Hall, 2nd floor -- 121 N. LaSalle, City Council Chambers.  Be sure to 
wear a CAN TV button to show your support. (You can pick up buttons at the CAN 
TV facility, 322 S. Green Street.)

John Nichols, journalist with The Nation magazine and co-founder of the 
national media politics organization Free Press, will be in Chicago to 
discuss his new book, "Dick: The Man Who Is President" -- a biography 
of Dick Cheney.  The talk will be Wednesday, September 29, 7pm at 
Barbara's Bookstore, 1218 South Halsted Street (Halsted and Roosevelt).

A review and interview on the news website Buzzflash.com has this to say 
about the book:
